Poppy flowers are familiar to most people, who quickly recognize the papery, tissue-like blossoms in bright warm colours. I remember these flowers grow wild and around our playground in my village. Here in the UK, Poppies are symbols of wartime remembrance. I have some artificial Poppy flowers at home that remind me of those poppies around our playground.
